GODZILLA (1998) to Hit 4K Ultra HD on May 14

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be releasing GODZILLA (1998) to 4K Ultra HD on May 14, 2019.

Aside from the film being newly remastered in 4K, it will feature English Dolby Atmos sound, as well as the three original theatrical trailers, which have been absent on all releases since the first DVD.

The second Blu-ray disc is presumed to be identical to the past release, and contains all the same supplemental content.

Sony describes the film:

Following French atomic bomb tests in the South Pacific, an unknown creature is spotted passing through the Panama Canal. Scientist Niko Tatopolous is called in to investigate the matter, and he quickly arrives at the conclusion that a giant, irradiated lizard has been created by the explosions. Godzilla® then makes its way north, landing in Manhattan to begin wreaking havoc in the big city.
