Mill Creek Now Shipping 'Pop Culture Bento Box' Replacement Discs

In February, Mill Creek Entertainment released their "Pop Cutlture Bento Box", a two-disc DVD set
collecting several tokusatsu and anime movies and programs. It touted the inclusion of THE LITTLE PRINCE AND THE EIGHT-HEADED DRAGON (1963), which would have been the first North America home video release of the movie. However, it was conspicuously absent.

Mill Creek has begun shipping out replacement discs, now containing the film. There are no apparent differences to the label to tell them apart; At this time it's unknown if later pressings will have any differences the packaging to tell the editions apart.

If you bought a copy missing the film, you can contact Mill Creek at support@millcreekent.com

It's also worth noting the film itself is in 4:3 aspect ratio, while the opening credits are presented in widescreen. Quality is fair but shows compression since three other movies are crammed on the same disc.

  1. It's really sad that you still have to do this in 2021. I just bought a copy from a vendor listed on Mill Creek's website and it STILL is missing "The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon". They're too lazy or cheap to get rid of that stock so they're selling them to people anyway and assuming most just won't bother complaining.
