Cleopatra Entertainment's Release of SHIN ULTRAMAN Marred by Subtitle Errors, Omissions

While SHIN ULTRAMAN (2022) releases on Blu-ray and DVD in the USA on July 11 courtesy of Cleopatra Entertainment, early reports from those who have received their copies have not been positive in regard to the subtitles.

The Do-Blu.com review notes that "the on-screen text is not translated, a problem given Shin Ultraman’s setup is done with text in the opening moments." This appears to be far from the only problem. Twitter user _CZQ_ has identified other issues, such as the formatting of italicized dialogue (see image at the bottom of this article), and various typos. How this got though quality control (if any occurred at all) is unknown, and quite frankly the result is unacceptable.

I highly recommend politely contacting Cleopatra Entertainment either through this form on their website, or by email at contact@cleopatra-entertainment.com, with your feedback.

Also remember Raven Banner has the Canadian rights to the film, though I'm unsure if that includes home video rights or just theatrical, so it remains to be seen if a hypothetical Blu-ray release from them might be worth holding out for.
