Some thoughts: Does anyone remember the brief period where Comet was also airing other Showa Godzilla movies, the ones Janus Films only currently offers in Japanese? One has to wonder why Comet doesn't show those anymore, as it would virtually double the amount of Godzilla movies they could offer, and make the marathons somewhat less repetitive. The only thing I can imagine is somehow the Japanese language versions were pulling in less viewers, and if that's the case, is very unfortunate. This is purely my own speculation, however. If you want to see more variety of Comet I would recommend politely contacting them.
It might be a case of this is the package that was offered to them by whoever owns the rights and probably Sony/Columbia.

I know at one point they aired movies licensed by Sony, but I'm talking about the other movies that are licensed by Janus Flms (Mothra vs. Godzilla, Ghidorah, Hedorah, etc.). They're grouped with the ones Comet commonly shows, but the only difference being Janus only has the Japanese audio/English subs.
